Bread & Butter 101: no knead method (classic Sourdough) Friday 2/17

95.00

Our bread has won numerous awards including being listed as one of the Best In America by Bon Appetit. We'd love to teach you how to make the same loaf at home.

Our house loaf is made using a sourdough starter and a "no knead" method. It's a loaf that even a novice baker (with an attention to recipes and detail) can make completely by hand. This beginner level hands on class will teach you how to make the same sourdough loaf from start to finish at home.

Here are the things we'll cover:

1. How to start and maintain a sourdough starter at home.
2. Flour & Milling 101
3. The basic steps & methods of baking bread
4. How to fold, form and pan a sourdough bread loaf
5. Baking bread in a home oven.
6. Tips & Tricks for creating your own recipe
7. Culturing fresh butter at home in 4 easy steps
8. Q&A
9. Eating fresh bread and butter

We strongly suggest bringing a "special" beverage to this class. All classes are BYOB and are much more fun this way. The class takes place standing up so please wear shoes and clothing that is comfortable.

We will provide aprons, recipes, bread pans and all necessary baking equipment. Class is scheduled for 2.5 hours but may take 3 hours.
